Inflation Hedge
Historically, commodities like Gold and Silver have maintained their value better than paper currencies during periods of high inflation.
Industrial Demand
Copper and Platinum prices are heavily influenced by global manufacturing cycles, electronics production, and the transition to green energy.
India Domestic Rates Explained
The domestic price of gold and silver in India differs from the international (London/New York) price due to import duties and local taxes. Our "India Mode" automatically calculates these for you:
- 1Import Duty (6%): This includes the 5% Basic Customs Duty (BCD) and 1% AIDC applied at the port of entry.
- 2GST (3%): Goods and Services Tax is applied to the final value (including duty) of the metal.
- 3Unit Conversion: We convert the international Ounce (31.10g) into the standard Indian Tola (10g) for Gold and Kilograms for Silver.
